kinda have a infestation problem
Hey i got German cockroaches and they are literately coming out of everywhere plug outlets bathtub drains and dishwasher and we get a exterminator here every 2 weeks and we been living in this apartment for about 10 months now and it is not doing any good we keep are apartment as clean as can be and it just been getting worse worse and worse and i live in Florida and i am really just at the end of my wits really!

I wish to inform you that under Chapter 83 Section 83.51 it is duty of landlord to maintain premises. If landlord does not perform its duties then under Section 83.54 you can enforce your rights through civil action.

Your posting is a bit confusing. You indicate "we get a (sic) exteriminator here every two weeks"...do you mean YOU get this or your landlord does?

Treating just "your" apartment will not resolve issue. The problem with living in an apartment is if you treat or even rid your unit of the insects they just go to next apartment. Once its safe to return to yours they will. The entire buuilding needs to be treated.Comment

Sunlover is correct about having to treat the entire building. Cockroaches live in walls, lay their eggs there and can run through attics, come up around water pipes, any crack in the walls. And then they retreat to whatever warm, dark place they are hiding. Just fogging usually does not do the job, either, but neccessitates laying traps with bait they will take back to their nest and poison the nest as well.
Florida is a haven for every insect in Creation, it seems. Recently, our landlord had to do the same (I am in FLorida). After treating an apartment where young kids were less than clean and harbored these creatures, fogging their apartment did not do the job for they began to show up in other apartments after the fogging of the one. So an exterminator came out and did the attics as well.
Since these insects can live in the backs of microwaves, walls, even computers -- anyplace that is dark and warm, whatever fogging methods are used must also be supplemented with bait traps so that the nests are killed off as well.
It is the landlord's duty to take care of pest infestations, so notify in writing and only if he does not cure the problem do you need to take further steps.Comment

they do come every 2 weeks but i asked my landlord to keep us on the list every two weeks they said no i had to call or go up there and its a pain and now its getting to the point that they keep giving a attitude problem with me they said they couldn't spray cause of the dogs we just ha them come in yesterday and said they can spray and they finally did after almost a full yearComment

no they can spray around dogs there is a chemical that can be used around them not birds i dont like the fact that someone made a rude comment and and learn to read up on what i talk about and on top of that they finally sprayed and right before i move and everything its been this way for 2 years now so ya have fun and good nightComment
