Can a student in a housing contract with a dorm at a public university be arrested for trespassing if he or she refuses to obey housing policy.
A policy in the building is to show identification. However, if a student does not show identification, can he or she be arrested for trepassing in their own building? Mind you, they pay the equivalent of rent through college fees.
Are there any court cases for this?
Doesn't state or federal law trump university policy?
Thanks
