  • Buyer wants me to "professionally clean" the entire place by the closing date.

    CALIF
    Hi:
I am about to sell my condo but the current buyer wants me to "professionally clean" the entire place by the closing date. How is that even defined as a legal matter?

Is that a normal and reasonable request? I told my broker I would call her on WED to discuss but I say buy or dont buy, I am not in the cleaning business for god's sake.

"About to sell"? Means no contract yet? Then it's not a "legal" issue. You agree to it or not. Up to you. "Reasonable" is in the eye of the beholder.

Though I can't see hiring a cleaning company for a couple of hundred bucks as a deal breaker.
