USA: Is there an exception to the requirement for a tax-exempt organization to provide copies?

Re: Individual requests for copies (Public Disclosure)

I wish to inform you that a tax-exempt organization need not comply with individual requests for copies if it has made the documents available on a website as provided under law. The document should be in the required format provided under the regulations. Generally tax-exempt organizations can use a pdf format to display the documents free of cost to users. Further, the tax-exempt organization will have to inform the requesters as to how they can obtain the documents.
