  • Daniel Freed, Yale law professor advocating federal sentencing laws, dies

    Daniel J. Freed, a retired Yale law professor who was a pioneer in advocating for reforms of federal sentencing laws, has died. He was 82.

    Yale Law School said Freed died Sunday in New York of renal and congestive heart failure.
