The University of Chicago Law School has a new dean.
In a news release, UCLA School of Law Dean Michael Schill has been appointed to the post held by Saul Levmore, who announced earlier this year he was stepping down after eight years as dean.
Schill is a nationally recognized scholar on property law who is the co-author of a property law casebook used by more than half of the law students in the United States.
At UCLA, Schill launched three new legal research centers and two academic specialization centers.
The school says Schill will take over Jan. 1 of next year.
