About the School

Professor Malcolm Davies, Head of Ealing Law School.
At Ealing Law School we think that teaching is one of the most important human activities and we take it very seriously in the sense that we make our courses interesting as well as relevant for those who seek employment in the field of law and criminology.
Our commitment to teaching is second to none. We pride ourselves on it.
On the other hand we believe that we should not take ourselves too seriously or think that learning cannot be fun. So that we encourage social events and have a good student Law Society that organises quizzes, parties, dinners, visits and speakers. We enjoy the collegiate life of a Law School where students are welcome and are part of a wider community of learning.
We think that links with the professionals are important so we have lawyers, judges, policeman and prosecutors as visiting lecturers and honorary professors. We keep in touch with the world of work and the professions through our Law School Advisory Committee with judges, broadcasters, solicitors and barristers.
We have very good contact with the Middlesex Law Society (MLS) and our students take part in the Young Members Group and I am proud to be Vice President of the MLS. Our past students keep in touch and provide lectures, mentors and job training opportunities for our new students.
We believe that students learn through practise as well as reading and to this end we have a course that takes you into the real world of work-based learning, clinical practice, community legal advice and professional training.
The Law School is based in West London in the pleasant Borough of Ealing with good shops, pubs, restaurants, accommodation, tree-lined roads and parks.
We are close to London via the underground and main line rail links and encourage students to make full use of the facilities of London be they the legal parts such as the Royal Courts of Justice, Old Bailey, the Inns of Court or the sporting and social events, theatres, museums or shopping; all exciting features of life in the capital city of England.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and I recommend the courses outlined on our site to you as being well taught, professionally relevant and they will help to prepare you for employment in the future with careers in law and the criminal justice professions.
Cordially yours,
Professor Malcolm Davies
Head of School
