    London Metropolitan University offering qualifying law degrees recognised in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

    The London Metropolitan University, located in London, England, was formed on 1 August 2002 by the amalgamation of London Guildhall University and the University of North London. The University is based in inner London with a campus in the City of London and a second campus in Islington next to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

    The University, with one of the highest student numbers amongst London universities, operates its own archives, libraries and museum. The Women's Library, which houses the archives of the Fawcett Society, and other material on the history of feminism. The other collections are the TUC Library, the Irish Studies Collection and The Frederick Parker Collection.

We have a long standing reputation for training solicitors and were one of the first universities to be validated to run the Legal Practice Course.

    Welcome to the Department of Law, Governance and International Relations (LGIR). As the largest department of its kind in the UK, we can offer you a wide range of courses in Law, Politics and International Relations at undergraduate and postgraduate level. To one side of the City campus is the Capital’s financial district with its fantastic modern and traditional architecture, but to the other you find the trendy quarters around Spitalfields and Brick Lane. The North campus is based at Ladbroke House in lively Islington, with its many shops, restaurants and cafes and the Arsenal football club.

    The Law Section

    At City Campus we are located in a new purpose built building on Goulston Street in the City of London a short walk away from Aldgate and Aldgate East tubestations and close to Liverpool Street Station. The law section at North Campus is based at Ladbroke House.

    We offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses.
