An International Experience Counts
The University of Choice
At Edge Hill University, we have been enabling people to achieve their ambitions for 123 years.
Today we are a university that stands for academic and professional excellence, offering high quality programmes supported by state-of-the-art facilities set within a beautiful campus.
We are home to a welcoming, diverse community, accessible to everyone, with an excellent reputation for student support. 15,000 students are currently enrolled on our courses and enjoying a university experience to remember.
Studying Abroad
We welcome international students from all backgrounds to join our 3 year honours degree programmes, one year postgraduate programmes, as well as offering study abroad programmes to students from other countries.
Studying in a foreign country is a life changing opportunity, offering interesting challenges. Our extensive support for international students helps to ensure that you are able to greet those challenges positively, enhancing your life experience.
Edge Hill University has a relatively small number of international students which means you will receive a special welcome and an authentic British university experience.
We recognise that travelling overseas alone can be a daunting experience so the International Office will reserve your accommodation on campus, arrange collection from Manchester Airport and meet you on campus to help you settle in.
Once you are on campus, we can assist with any issues, such as visa enquiries or even simply planning trips to elsewhere in the UK or abroad.
A Unique University Experience
Based in 75 acres of spacious, landscaped grounds, our Ormskirk Campus combines original buildings and gardens from the 1930s with ?£80 million of modern resources and 25 acres of sporting leisure facilities.
Everything you could want is on one campus, from an impressive library and Learning Innovation Centre, with 24-hour computer and Internet access and wireless hotspots around the campus, to a gym, swimming pool and much more at Sporting Edge. There's also cafes, restaurants, shop, nightclub, the Rose Theatre and health centre.
Whatever your choice of course, you'll be using state-of-the-art facilities. Whether you're using our modern dance studio and rehearsal rooms in the Centre for Performing Arts, model classroom in the Faculty of Education, Sports Therapy clinic or digital animation studio, you'll be at the cutting edge of your subject.
Whenever you're not studying, there's always something to do around the campus, with plenty of activities organised by the Students' Union, and major cities like Liverpool and Manchester only a short distance away.
