Departments
Department of Law
The Department of Law offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees through full-time, part-time and distance learning study modes, catering for many different types of students at many stages of their professional careers.
Because we are a big Department, we can offer this range of courses and extensive staff expertise, but everything we do is underpinned by quality, and by a concern for our students as individuals. That is why we interview most applicants, and why each of our courses is relatively small in size, compared with other Law Schools.
Leicester De Montfort Law School is located in the Elfed Thomas building, just a few moments walk from the heart of the city centre and close to the various sets of barristers’ chambers and the major law firms in Leicester. Students benefit from a dedicated Law environment with excellent staff support and facilities such as a mock courtroom and a new integrated Law Library, one of only a few in the UK.
