Bradford College is a large further and higher education college located in Bradford in the north of England, with approximately 25,000 students. The College offers a range of full and part time courses from introductory level through to postgraduate level and caters for a variety of students, including school leavers, adults wanting to return to education, degree-level students and those seeking professional qualifications.
Bradford College offers more university level qualifications than any other college in England with approximately 170 full and part time HE courses to choose from. Most of the college's degrees are validated by Leeds Metropolitan University; previously they were validated by the University of Bradford with the final cohort graduating in December 2007. Bradford College plans to apply for University status and award their own degrees, the application process due to formally start in May 2008.

Law LLB (Hons)
Introduction
Our LLB (Hons) programme recognises the need to provide an academically challenging degree which will will provide you with a sound knowledge of legal concepts and an understanding of the operation of law in society. A wide range of legal and business electives are available and you will be able to use these to study areas relating to your personal, vocational and academic interests.
Course Content
This Honours degree consists of six semesters, taken over three years of full-time study.
Entry Requirements
GCSEs - Minimum five GCSEs at Grade C or above to include English Language.
Minimum tariff points range - 160
Relevant subjects - Nothing specific
We normally require passes in a minimum of two A2 GCE (not General Studies) or AVCE (minimum 12 units) or BTEC Nationals or the equivalent.
In addition to the above qualifications the College also encourages applications from potential students who have achieved one of the following:
Access Courses - Award of a full Access Certificate by a licensed Access Validating Agency
Key Skills - Level 3 (Application of Number, Communication, ICT)
Compact Students - Evidence of participation
Aim Higher - Yes
Other qualifications or experience which demonstrate that candidates possess suitable knowledge and skills in an appropriate area of study may be appropriate for entry to both degree and HND programmes. The College welcomes applications from mature students who do not satisfy these entry requirements, provided the student can demonstrate that, by virtue of other studies and/or experience, they are capable of coping with or benefiting from the course.
Mature students (aged 21+) will be considered on the basis of employment experience, as opposed to formal qualifications, and will be interviewed.

The structure of the programme offers a wide range of exciting career options in the legal and business world. These include working as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive, the law courts, legal aspects of exporting, marketing, finance and administration.
Modules Covered
This qualifying Law degree contains the seven Foundation subjects delivered within the Law Society rules. These are: Contract, Tort, Public Law, Equity and Trusts, Land Law and European Law. These seven Core subjects are vital in order to gain exemption from the Law Society or Bar Council, (subject to Law Society regulations being satisfied) to allow you to progress quickly in your chosen legal career.

A wide range of teaching methods are used including lectures, seminars, workshops and visits.

The programme uses a variety of methods to assess you, including in-course assignments, dissertation and examinations.
