  • Co-workers and Work environment

Well I have a question regarding posting picture of what i wrote on paper at work and than posting it on facebook even i told them not to do so, than another coworker posted on that post and called me "Hahahaha dumbass" both of them are coworkers where I work. My question is can i take any legal actions for such a thing? And also using phones at my work is prohibited but they used to take a picture anyway.

Legal action? What kind of legal actions do you propose? It's not illegal to post a photo of someone doing something stupid at work.

As for the taking of the photo at work with a cell phone, that's something you'd have to take up with management. Of course, they'd want to know what proof you have that someone did it, and you'd have to show them the photo of the stupid something you wrote at work. Probably not such idea, I'd think.

I'm thinking it might just be better to be thought a fool, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt. Do nothing, and suck it up, buttercup. There is no legal issue here. No lawsuit lottery.

Go back to your job and get a thicker skin.
Due to a recent promotion, I should now be referred to as Major Obvious.

I would not be trying to provide information and knowledge if I did not sympathize.

Some days it is just not worth chewing through the restraints to face life.

Sure. Don't post anything on Facebook that you'd be embarrassed if anyone else (including your parents) saw. Other than that? Nope, not a thing you can legally do about them posting your foolish misdeeds on Facebook.

but I didn't post that, they did. They made a pic and they posted it on Facebook. Don't they need my permission or something? Like author or person permission to post something that was made by that person/author of that item that he possess?

Are you kidding? Your paper, their photo. You showed it to them. The only reason you're upset is because they snapped a photo and posted it on Facebook, where you were exposed to ridicule from people who you thought believed what you wrote was cute and funny.

Get a clue - there's no legal recourse here.

Facebook makes it easy to report abuse or harassment and will warn or restrict users as necessary. Report a person for general harassment by sending a report about his profile or alert Facebook to a specific post that you found offensive.
