Please help. The company I work for recently "merged" with another company. My job has stayed the same, with the same responsibilities as before. There are rumors that they are going to cut the wages of employees like myself who make more than newer employees. When we first merged, we were assured that our wages were being "grandfathered". The pay cut would likely be about 40%, a serious blow to my household income. Can they do this legally, and do I have any recourse? If I quit, can I collect unemployment?
