Slander? (recorded messages, emails, local newspaper)

We have a local newspaper that prints recorded messages and emails that people send in. People are requesting that I get fired or find other employment and it is printed in their newspaper with my name and not their name. Is this slander or something along those lines???

It may be an invasion of privacy depending on how they got those. It is libel or slander normally only if they say or write something factually untrue and it damages you.

The messages are opinions that callers or emailers are sending in to have me fired or something to that effect that I don't know what I'm doing.

They are ruining my reputation in the community.
