She never collected her unpaid hours before she passed. She didn't pursue while alive to collect what may have been wrongful termination.

Her estate (whoever is in charge under the will or by law) is entitled to collect any amounts due her, but you need to act promptly in those situations; if the estate is now closed that may be more difficult. Similar situation happened in my family.

Did she leave a will?
Did she nominate you as executor?
Regardless, did you go to court and get issued papers confirming that you were representative of the estate?
