How can I tell if he died or or he is a fraud or what?

I sent 600 dollars to a guy in Maryland and he has not responded after 11emails and calls nor sent the piece of equipment I ordered.

I ordered after seeing an add in a gun magazine and talking to him.

How can I tell if he died or he is a fraud or what? He was 71 so I suppose covid could have got him.

Report the scam to the local police where the guy is located. They might be able to chase him down from whatever information you give them.
