I am on H4 and am undergoing divorce proceedings and hence these questions.I am currently in India and may have to come to US to litigate the divorce

1> Can a H4 visa holder rent an apartment/hotel room in her name?
2> Can a H4 visa holder rent a car/buy a car in her name?
3> Can the husband cancel the H4 visa of wife at his will?
4> Does the visa stand cancelled immediately when the divorce is granted?
5> Is the husband responsible for the wife's (H4 visa) medical well-being/expenses?
6> Of the divorce proceedings are in on in US court, and the wife is on H4-- what are her rights as to place to stay, medical expenses, etc?
7> Can the wife come to litigate the case in the US on a B1/B2 visa?
8> Can a wife on H4 visa get a phone connection for herself in her name?

I wish to inform you that as H-4 visa holder, you are not eligible to get a Social Security Number nor can you be employed, but you can hold a driver's license, open a bank account, and get an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number for US tax purposes. You can alternatively proceed on F1, B1/B2, H1B visa, etc.

Usually, yes

Only if the court says so. Unlikely in your circumstance.

She has none, unless she can pay for them.

She can try. It can be revoked for fraudulent representation.
