Is this a possibility? The defendant is in the province of ontario, canada. He has 2 counts of assault charges and assault with a weapon. What are the chances he's gonna get this? Will he get a permanent ban? This is all being discussed in the juidicial pre-trial. The defendant declared that it's a false conviction.

Re: court may drop charges in exchange of leaving the country
I wish to inform you that generally for criminal offences court may not drop charges in exchange for deportation. You can contest the charges made against you so that you can prove innocence. In criminal cases the burden of proof is beyond reasonable doubt. Further Faster Removal of Foreign Criminals Act provides to more expeditious removal from Canada of foreigners who are convicted of committing serious crimes against Canadians. Hence your deportation from Canada can be done if you are held guilty but charges will not be dropped.
