can i bring my son to united states?

hi, can i ask about the case of my friend she was petitioned by his father as a single f1 and its on the process and now but she has a son who is 1yr old. can she bring her son to the united states thou she not married? and can she pass another application form including her son. thank you/

I wish to inform you that child can come on F2 visa as dependent child of F1 visa holder. In this regard although your friend is not married but this will not affect her rights as regard F2 visa because child in case of unmarried parent is always related to mother. Generally in this your friend will have to contact her school's international student office and request a new I-20 for your dependent.
