we married in church but did not get the certificate that you need from the home office, now i very rarely see him. immigation have got my marriage certificate from a visa application but i cant get it back for some reason to start my divorce.

what do you mean did not have permission; what happened?

i need to divorce my husband is not a british citizen, we did not have the right permission to marry although we married in a church. I have been trying to get my marriage certificate back from immigration for ages, where do i start?
