Hard to believe this is a class action when most attorneys there do NOT support this ridiculous suit.

    What is the class really?
    The judge should toss this!

The plaintiff lawyer is a cheap ambulance chaser. IMHO

It really gives lawyers a bad name.
I don't know how we stop this kind of nonsense in America. But it has to stop.

The British system has a "loser pays" policy and THAT may be a good start.

        More Background information

        Sep 12, 2016 7:57 pm ET

Late last month, in Washington, D.C., so-called "litigator" Kerrie Campbell filed a federal sex discrimination lawsuit Wednesday against Chadbourne & Parke LLP, a 300-lawyer firm based in New York.

The lawsuit, filed as a potential class action on behalf of the 26 female partners Chadbourne has had since 2013, claims the firm routinely underpays women and “actively retaliates against female attorneys who question the firm’s gender discrimination practices.”

But now, a number of women at Chadbourne are calling the lawsuit into question. In a letter sent Monday to David W. Sanford, the lawyer for Ms. Campbell, 14 female partners at the firm explicitly disavowed the lawsuit, claiming his firm “made no effort to speak to any of us before filing the lawsuit.”

Ms. Campbell, who joined Chadbourne in 2014 from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP after running into “conflicts” there, said in the complaint the firm’s all-male management committee routinely made compensation decisions in a “black box” that hurt women. The suit claims the firm’s male-dominated culture has prompted many women to leave, noting that of the non-partners who left the litigation department in 2014 and 2015, 17 of 20 were women.

The plaintiff attorney (and issues in his personal life) affect matters that directly impact this case.
We will post more here shortly.
          This case is a travesty.

It just sounds like a disgruntled female employee, who is a lawyer, going on a witch hunt.

This will be a very interesting case to watch.

The plaintiff here has her own issues but it is true BIG Law is not always easy on the Ladies.

Why don't you say businesses in the US are not, businesses in the world are not, no one is or some other variation to justify something abstract, that is an opinion.

                  re WITTELS

                  David W. Sanford
David W. Sanford from the law firm Sanford Heisler LLP was a issued a highly negative Admonishment by the District of Columbia Bar.

According to the engineer, Paul Galloway, the lawyers who were supposed to be helping him instead made him unemployable. Galloway's complaint, filed in New York State Supreme Court by Rosanne Felicello of Felicello Law, accuses WITTELS and his former firm of legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty for failing to protect Galloway in his dealings with Convolve and Cadwalader. The suit asserts a fraudulent misrepresentation claim against Steinberg and Cadwalader, blaming them for inducing him to sign the affidavit against Seagate with false promises of confidentiality.
