The Supreme Court on Thursday blocked an antitrust lawsuit that alleged American Express Co. used its muscle in the corporate card market to force merchants to accept the company’s less desirable payment cards–and the fees that go with them. .

In a separate case, it ruled that the federal government may not require grant recipients to adopt its policy views as a funding condition. The issue arose in a program intended to fight HIV and AIDS overseas.
