I don't know about laws in India. But one advice i want to give you that you must have written proof for your every deal or contract.

my wife died with cancer in august2013. I have a kid of 6 years. i have bared all medical bills (12 lacks) for treatment. i have married in November after settlement discussion of doing 15 lacks fixed deposit towards my kid. my ex-father-in-law has to give me 12 lacks. he agreed to repay me to do the deposit. now he utilized for his own purpose and telling he will give to my child directly at 18 years of her age. there is no clear evidence that i have given 12 lacks for my child.

Its clear cheating... but he is posing innocent face using my daughter sentiment to public to utilize my money and cleverly masking my contributions. he is reluctant to give any kind of proof (note or agreement etc...) that he has my 12lack rupees and will handover after some time.

i am ready to deposit 15lacks towards my daughter for future. how can i retrieve the money from him and take next steps. he not listening any one of my elders. discussions are completed. please suggest legal way to get that money and put for my daughter. if i deposit that money through COURT would there be any issues for future (need to give bribe while releasing the money etc...)
