What is Sequestration?

Everyone, especially people in Washington are talking about it but what does it exactly mean is something not everyone is clear about. Sequester is a set of automatic spending cuts that have been put into law by the Budget Control Act. The Democrats as well as the Republicans have tried to stop the sequester.
