What are the legal reasons to get a judge off a case in a family law case in Texas?

Is there some list of reasons that can be used, or is not that clear cut?

The judge we have is impossible to deal with and very biased in my opinion, other issues exist as well.

No, it's not that clear cut.

The judge we have is impossible to deal with and very biased in my opinion, other issues exist as well.

Why? Are things not going your way? I used to say the same things about the judge in my divorce when things didn't go my way. In fact, I filed written motions and complaints accusing her of bias. Didn't do me a damned bit of good, isn't likely to do you any good either.

More than 70% of family law cases in many states are done without an attorney.
Not everybody wants or can afford one.

The reasons you mentioned here are not sufficient for a recusal. You should raise grounds like...

"Interest in the subject matter, or relationship with someone who is
interested in the case
Background or experience, such as the judge’s prior work as a lawyer
Personal knowledge about the parties or the facts of the case
Ex parte communications with lawyers or non-lawyers."

...for recusal.
