Years ago I was in an auto accident. I put the money from the settlement into a tax-deferred account and it has remained there. Should we divorce, (most likely) would my husband be entitled to any of these assets? He contributed nothing to this. I am in NC, should that make a difference.

Often personal injury settlements remain with the person--not both spouses. But income that has built up (beyond inflation) may be subject to division in some cases.
