i have been trying to get child support now for a while now the father barely sees the children he does not help with anything but the child support office has not even opened my case ive called them went to their office quit a few times and their is no change in my case i just want my case to be pick up and im seeking further advice on how to do so

I wish to inform you that you may file a petition for child support in the family court in your county. You may contact the Clerk of the Court and obtain a package of forms which can be completed and submitted to the court. Alternatively, you may print the forms online and study the guide on the court Website. You must provide the details of the income of the other parent if that parent tries to show a lower figure to reduce the child support amount payable. You may self represent or alternatively appoint a lawyer. The court will consider the best interest of the child and make the order after studying the facts.

If you are using the DOR it can take quite a bit of time. You can certainly file a petition on your own.

You may be better off filing a petition for enforcement.

The court can then order the child support office to take action on the case.
