Can a victim of theft recommend a sentence for the defendant to a judge?
A good friend of my sister has been convicted on theft charges,
and he's about to be sentenced. The victim knows him, and wants to
ask the judge for a lenient sentence, but they're afraid that it wouldn't be
legal.
I think what the prosecutor did to him was bull, and I barely even know the
kid...
I do think that it's a bit late to challenge them as to that though...
I'll get the details, and then ask...
Anyway, this is of the utmost importance, to my sister, her friend, and the victim of the crime.
A quick response would be very much appreciated.
