My 17 year old son was arrested recently for having marijuana in his car. He had about 7 grams and the police officer told us it was a misdemeanor. I have retained an attorney, but it looks like we may not even go to court. My question is, would it be proper to ask for the attorney to return the money since we never used his services?

Normally the attorney should have made an agreement with you in the beginning and often he would have charged a flat fee to negotiate a solution in this kind of case.
If he did not become involved in any way, then a refund is proper. -

I was arrested with a small amount, anything under 10.0 grams is a small amount where im from (PA)...Wait awile longer to ask for the money back because it took me 7-8 months before I had to go to courtComment
