Very likely, they used the threat of legal action against you as a way to put you in a corner and get you to admit to your wrongdoing. Thanks for your response. If they had acutual footage or used hidden cameras would they have mentioned that or that I was even being filmed?
I suspect that they would mention it and show me printed copies but do you think they would?Comment

It is very rare to show internals video footage even if they have it. Besides at this point they do not need it since you confessed. The statute of limitations for misdemeanor theft is one year.Comment
