How can I regain my rights to vote and to own a gun?

I was arrested at the age of 21, and served time. I am now 56, and want to know if I can regain my rights to vote, and to own a gun to protect my family.

What state, and what was the offense with which you were charged?

Different states have different laws to determine whether a felon can regain the right to vote and to obtain/possess a firearm.
