Hello, i want to know if you can recomend any lawyer or law firm to take care of the case of my friend who bought merchandise from a suppliler of Refurbished Xbox in the U.S.
He did 2 purchases but the first one he didn't delivered the goods due that the co. was buying the goods from some other distributor and the dist. never delivered to them and they took his money but the co. (not the dist) returned part of the money the back to my friend that the co. said they received it from another deal they did, and the co. requested time to pay back the rest of the money. My friend agreed and he waited until the co. could send money or get products and that was the second time that the co. offered him products that he could get and the co. promised to pay from his profit part the previous balance but since the co. didn't have any money to buy the goods they request it to send cash to buy the merchandise and he will go from there. My friend sent a second wire transfer for the new purchase and he waited for a tracking # for the goods but never arrived after a month of going back and forth. The co. said that the second time their distributor never delivered the goods to them and they keep saying this until today. In both occasions the co. mentioned that they started legal action against each different dist.
The first transaction happened in november of 2005 and the second one in june 2006. The wire transfers were sent from Guadalajara, Mexico to Baton Rouge LA and we have invoices for each order and copies of the wires.
My friend lives in Guadalajara but he is here in Los angeles, CA for 2 weeks to resolve this issue legally.
Please help me to find a some answer to this.
thank you,
Ricardo E.
