  • Complaint against: DayBreak Solar Power, 2106 N Main St, Fort Worth, TX 76164-8511 817 477 5875

I decided to install solar panel, in my house. At that time 18 solar panels were installed and started generating power. As they offered in the advertisement they promised me that I should only have to pay $10-$30 per month and the total expense for the sola panel installation was $22,000. I signed up for a payment plan through my bank and I singed up for 20-year payment of $160 monthly. Ever since the installation I end paying the amount I used to pay even before the solar installation even with solar panels.
Ever since then I started calling the company and I never got any responses, all the phone numbers they provided weren’t working or the employees stopped working for that company. Almost an year ago I got in touch with the manager of the company- Joshua- and he promised to take care of the situation and after many phone calls and e mail requests he assured to place 6 more panels at the house. 6 more panels were added in October 2020 and that didn’t make any difference in the energy bills and it started getting worse.
During this time, they were blaming the electrical company and made me switch company multiple times. since I wasn’t getting benefits from the solar panel and my electric bills were getting worse I requested them to have this removed and have my money back since its not doing what they promised. They refused to have it removed or refused to take care of the problems.
I am paying about $180 monthly for the electrical bill. Since the solar panel wasn’t doing what it supposed to I wasn’t paying the payments. And I started paying them since December 2020 hoping that they will find a solution to the problem. And problem is still haven’t resolved.
I used to have to pay only $150 monthly and with solar panel I am still paying more than my usual electric bill. its absolutely worthless to have it at my house. Instead of helping my bill its hurting my financial stability and its affecting my personal -credit score- since I stopped paying for something not working or doing its job like as they promised. I see other complaints and bad negative reviews at the Better Business Bureau too.
I need to have the system removed and have my payments back and to cancel the contract with this providers day break solar, located at 2601 n main st, fort worth TX.
What are my best steps to take?

In a similar situation I sued in small claims court and filed a complaint with the state attorney general.

      We settled in 3 weeks!

Daybreak Solar installed solar lying about price,(My USMC vet.husband 3 wks shy of 42 yrs recently passed away so trying to save $$)& taking advantage of our Seniors! & the vulnerable Failed 4 permits , the 4th criminal failure! They ruined my credit, I needed to re-Fi home! So I settled & paid out to a finance company I never even knew about to get it off my credit inflammatory! (my husband, and I always had impeccable credit history) now in the picture is Dividend finance a $1.3 million company out of San Diego California. This is in 2020! They achieved this by screen sharing on my telephone a contract saying I would only be paying $135.a month without showing that there was even a, credit company! So I settled with Dividend finance , to have them remove a lien from my home ! They agreed ! To the terms & this being this being 2022 I look the company up they are now a $1.5 billion company! Instead of refinancing my home at 1.2% interest I am now refinancing at 5% they cash the check stating that the solar would certainly be working before they would cash the check and even came out to fill in large trench. I fell in that was left abandoned (which was the criminal permit failure) and today is January 25 of 2023 and I still don’t have my solar installed! I’m looking for an attorney! Right on their contract it states that they will not pay the installers unless the seller is up and working and they have the final permit! Again, I am looking for an attorney! I fell in that trench they knew I was hard of seeing and just lost my husband. I dislocated my shoulder and elbow and broke my shoulder and elbow and wrist into places! Again I am looking for an attorney Dividend finance should never have cashed that check.! & Daybreak Solar should never have gotten on my phone with me to share the screen showing a contract between Daybreak solar and myself at $135 a month the first time I’ve ever seen an adopt a signature! They only showed me on my screen what they wanted me to see! Again I am looking for an attorney this started in January 2020. I could’ve closed on my home at 1.2% interest I closed in August 2022 at 5%, and on their contract by Dividend finance, it states that they must have the permits and the seller must be up and working! Again I am seeking an attorney thank you sincerely.

Have you reported the problem to your state attorney general? That's one step you can take and oftentimes it can be very helpful in getting the issue resolved.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with DayBreak Solar. It's no fun dealing with companies that don't live up to their promises. Have you considered reaching out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and filing a complaint? The BBB can help you get in touch with the company, and if that doesn't work, you can file a dispute. Another option is to contact an attorney. If the company isn't able to resolve the issue, you might need to consider legal action. You can find an experienced specialist at yenex.com who can help you figure out your next steps. No matter what, it's important to let DayBreak know that you're not happy with their services.
