SO i work at a small business. My old boss quit and gave the business to me. On the terms that i had ot pay the bills that were due at that time 1900$ so i paid that and everything but the DBA and lease was put in my name. Ive been paying all the shop bills for the last 4 months(1500-1800 + advertising), utilities and all other costs that come with it. Ive bought equipment, paid advertising, hired a receptionist that im paying and have other things being worked on like websites and so on. Ive worked 6 days a week for the last 6 months. Heres my question. My old boss is going ot be moving out of state. He has grew distant as has his wife and mine that were great friends. HE has his own debt. REcently he has been telling me other business's in the area have been offering to buy the business for a amount as the leae and dba are in his name still. What legal rights do i have if he decides to go behind my back and sell it???
