I did that and paid at the airport but it all took about 48 hrs and I had to reschedule part of my flight. It was not that smooth of a process.
Best to make sure the check is not bounced or pay it off before you start the trip. It's not great to travel with that bounced check being an unknown. Even worse than having a little debt remaining.

what happened to your case? Is there any guarantor required by the police officer in order for you to proceed with your travel? or they detained you for the meantime as long you didn't pay the penalty?
