In Philippines, Unpaid credit card for more than 10years

Dear sir,

Pleasant morning!

I have a situation, my unpaid credit card for more than 10years and just appear notice recently....indicating that I should settle the large amount wherein back that time it haven't reach even 20k, what should I do since it's pandemic and I dont have stable finance..please help...they have asked help from our barangay....and I receive letter for confrontation, what should I do sir?

I wish to inform you that under Article 1144 and 1145 Statue of Limitation is 10 years for written contract and 6 years for oral contract. You may inform debt collector that under Civil Code your debt being 10 years old is time barred and they may not collect this amount.

Sir, what if they ask me for proof and yet I don't have....since it's been more than 10years and the old debt was when I was single.....in my single name..... Can that be the proof...

Sir, what if the agent really insist that I should pay even if it's out of my reach. What will I say sir ..pls pls help.....I don't really know what to say when the day comes, I only have a day before confrontation....
