I'm not sure if I've got the right forum for this question, but I'm having a problem with my power company. We just recently moved into a new rental property and shortly after moving in the power company turned on our electricity. Then, several days later, they sent a worker over who shut off our power. We called them back and they turned our power back on. Now they are billing us saying we tampered with the meters. We refuse to pay the charge because we obviously did no such thing. We've talked to their customer service and they were no help. Now they are threatening to turn off our power if we don't pay. What options do I have to fight this charge?
