    I wish to inform you that an April 2010 Italian Supreme Court decision established that an employee's superior can be held liable for harassment in the workplace, and for consequent economic and non-pecuniary damages, when such behavior is intentionally damaging to the employee's professional dignity. The person who has been harassed may file a lawsuit.
