  • Loan collection; I have lended a freind of mine an amount of $13300

I have lended a freind of mine- at least this is what I thought he is - an amount of $13300. The amount was due to be paid off on 2/23/07. I electronically received a promissory note electronically signed by the person I gave the moeny to, and stating that he will remain bounded till he pays the money in one lump sum on 2/23/07.

I have been calling and sending emails to ask to get my money back. no answers.

Is there a chance that I can file to collect the above mentioned amount and use the promissory note as a proof of the loan?

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior... our lawyers could also collect for you if need be.
