  • Staggering stuff one sided rulling

To summarise, according to the judge, absolutely EVERYBODY lied under oath EXCEPT one witness!
    weird isn't?

Weird yes but not the very first time that that has happened.

    What was the case about?

A trial court ruling can always be appealed. But the judges have a LOT of discretion to interpret testimony unfortunately.

So it isn't easy to appeal based solely on that, and almost always DOES require a lawyer to assist or at least e.g. a pro bono law student.

Hopefully the aggressor is at least warned and on-notice here, and the risk of violence is reduced or gone.

the one witness in question was arrested for domestic abuse, perjuring oneself in Australian court, lying to the US Dept of Homeland Security, ADMITTING on tape to a violent act against "the man" and yet the judge based the rulling on her testimony and dismissed other witnesses including two trained officers in DV who testified against her

Why do you think that happened? Does the judge have any history of being off-base or controversial?

I would definitely get the transcript and have an appeals lawyer review it.
                You never know...

after the verdict, i found out that the judge in question is somehow connected to the women in question!

Clearly some possible issues exist. And so if you seek to have the matter reviewed again, there would seem to be some potential options.

But it WILL be an uphill climb. It depends how important this is to continue, or to just put it behind you and move on. There may be costs and benefits to both options.
